Nikhil Ramesh

AI Resident at Accel

"I am Nikhil, currently an AI resident at Accel, where I help diligence AI companies, support the firm in forming investment theses on AI, and work with portfolio companies on their AI strategy, architecture, and hiring. Previously, I led product for the LLM evals vertical at DynamoAI, building solutions for RAG hallucination detection, security assessments, and compliance evaluations.

Before entering the AI space, I spent several years in the world of poker. During this time, I played poker professionally (mainly PLO cash), built and sold analytics software and a GTO analysis tool for professional study, and ran a staking/coaching business. I also started and scaled the poker business at Paytm into a $10M vertical.

My career began as a self-taught programmer during college, contributing to security and open source projects before taking on product roles at Flipkart, where I built data products and fintech solutions. Throughout my journey, I’ve enjoyed hacking around with new technologies and frequently contribute to open source projects as a hobby programmer.

I maintain a blog at https://rnikhil.com/, where I post about AI, poker, security, and crypto and the stuff I am learning along the way."
