Girish Menon

Bio

Girish Menon is the Head of HR at Swiggy, with 15+ years of experience in the field of Human Resources. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University and a post-graduation in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship. He also holds a Bachelor in Law degree from Karnataka State Law University.

 

Startup Journey & Career Growth

In 2002, Girish Menon started his career journey as a recruiter in Hitech Recruits. After working for approximately 2 years there, he became the Relationship manager at Citibank. In 2006, he joined Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd as a Senior Manager of Human Capital and was later promoted to AVP of the company.

He also gained experience as Vice President - Human Resources in several other reputed and renowned companies such as Vistaar Livelihood Financial Services Private Limited, HSBC and UniverCell Telecommunications India Pvt. Ltd.

In 2015, he became the Head HR of First Mile Operations in Flipkart, where he used to manage a team of 30+ HR professionals. Later in 2016, he became Head of HR at Swiggy, India's largest online food ordering and delivery platform.

At Swiggy he is responsible for driving people practices, building best-in-class teams & propelling growth for the fastest-growing food tech organization in India.
